Loc Maintenance

1. Washing: Although washing your locs will not be necessary, how often you wash your scalp will depend on your hair type and lifestyle. Be gentle while washing to avoid unraveling or damaging the locs.

2. Drying: After washing, gently squeeze excess water out of your locs using a clean towel. Avoid vigorously rubbing your locs, as this can cause frizz. Allow them to air dry thoroughly. If you need to use a hairdryer, use a low heat setting.

3. Moisturizing: Your scalp can become dry, so it's essential to moisturize your hair regularly. Use a light, water-based moisturizer or a natural oil such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, or shea butter. Avoid products with heavy residues that may lead to buildup.

4. Protect at Night: Wear a satin or silk scarf or use a satin/silk pillowcase to protect your locs while sleeping. This helps reduce friction.

5. Regular Maintenance: Boho Locs can last anywhere from 2-4 months with occasional retouches. To keep your natural hair from locking, it is recommended that you do not keep locs in for more than 3 months.
